continued ... Harrington himself plays the character of Roderick Usher in his film. In a delicious coincidence, Leatherwood plays the manager of the theatre in his “Usher,” named Mr. Roderick.

The Silver Lake Film Festival unspools on numerous screens at the ArcLight Cinema in Hollywood, at 6360 W. Sunset Blvd, right next to the historic Cinerama Dome. Other films slated to show include Chris Smith’s “The Yes Men,” Harrington’s rare 1973 “The Killing Kind,” and an eclectic selection of other “aggressively independent” films from around the world.
