“Usher” World Premieres In Tennessee

The successful world premiere of USHER unspooled at the Secret City Film Festival in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, on June 24th, 2004. Screened in the American Museum of Science, near the home of the labs where the H-bomb was developed, the festival replaces the nearby Knoxville Film Festival (which went bankrupt 2 years ago).

We couldn’t make it to Oak Ridge, but festival director Keith McDaniel reported the screening to be about a fourth full (in a house that seats 300), a great turn-out for an “unknown” film and it was generally “well-received.”

We sent press information to the local paper, The Oak Ridger, and got a nice mention the day of the show, which might have helped. We subsequently were contacted by a distribution company asking for screening copies, and we may begin negotiations soon for a possible acquisition deal.

We'll keep you posted!
